HeyMoney ("we," "our," or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information when you use our mobile application ("App").

1. Information We Collect

We may collect the following types of data:

• Personal Information: Name, email, phone number (used to create your profile).
• Contacts (with permission): To help you find and interact with your friends.
• Payment Status: Info related to balances and reminders.

We do not store sensitive financial data. We do not sell your data or use it for personalised ads. Ad measurement only runs if you accept optional cookies (see below).

2. How We Use Your Data

• Track and manage shared payments with friends.
• Send reminders (via SMS, Email, or app notification).
• Improve the app and provide support.

3. Sharing Your Data

We do not sell your data. We may share it with:

• SMS and Email providers (for messages you initiate).
• Our service providers (e.g., Supabase, Stripe).

Analytics and measurement cookies (optional)

These tools only load if you tap “Accept” in the cookie notice. If you reject, they are not loaded and the app works the same.

• Google Analytics and Google Ads (Google Ireland Ltd.) — cookies _ga, _ga_*, _gcl_*: measure app usage and whether our ads lead to sign-ups and HEYs.
• TikTok Pixel (TikTok Technology Ltd.) — cookie _ttp: measure whether our TikTok ads lead to visits and sign-ups.

We send event names (e.g. sign-up completed, first HEY sent), the page visited without parameters, campaign tags and the channel used. The tools also collect technical data themselves (browser, device, IP address, ad click identifier). We never send names, phone numbers, emails, amounts, debt or friend identifiers, or message text, and we do not use your data for personalised ads or remarketing. Providers may process data outside the EEA under their own safeguards. We do not use PostHog or other analytics tools. You can withdraw or give consent at any time with the cookie settings below or via “Cookie settings” in the app; if you reject, we stop sending events and delete these cookies.

4. Data Retention & Security

Your data is encrypted in transit and at rest. We only retain it as long as needed to provide services.

6. Children's Privacy

This app is not intended for users under the age of 13.
